Peresie Grandparents Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Peresie drove down from Ohio for a visit over Memorial Day. It rained pretty much all weekend, but we managed to have a good visit anyway! Nolan can't wait to see his grandparents again in July!

Kate played photographer while she was here, and got some really good shots! Here are a few.

Graduation Day

Today was graduation day at Little Gym! This video is actually from last week, when we were practicing for today. We are taking a break from Little Gym for the summer, but are looking forward to taking music class with all of Nolan's friends.

Bittersweet

Nolan's birthday was Friday. We had a busy day with appointments at the pediatrician and dentist (for me, of course), but we managed to make it special anyway. I treated him to his first cheeseburger Happy Meal for lunch, and then made him his first homemade pizza for dinner. He also got to spend all afternoon with Mike while I was at the dentist, so he was a very happy boy! The day was bitterweet for Mike and I. We are so proud of the little boy Nolan is becoming, and are excited for the next milestones he'll be reaching, but at the same time he's growing up too fast! I guess we should get used to it. Here are his 12 Month stats: Weight- 22 lbs. 4 oz. (50%), Height- 28.5 in. (10-25%), Head- 47 cm (50-75%).
Nolan's weight probably increased after this Happy Meal! No, I didn't let him eat the whole thing, but he loved it!!
He got his first car from Mommy and Daddy!

After polishing off some pizza, it was time for cake again!

Birthday Party

Nolan's First Birthday Party was the day after we got back from Destin. Probably not the best plan, but it worked out! His Grandma Creasy flew in for the party, which was helpful for Mike and me. As if we didn't have enough to do to get ready for the party, half of the electricity in our house went out that morning. After Mike couldn't fix it, we called an electrician, but when he came out he told us it was the power company's issue. Ugh! Luckily, the power company came quickly and got us up and running about 15 minutes before the party started- just enough time for me to dry my hair! The party was a great time, and Nolan seemed to enjoy himself...even if he didn't have a clue what was going on. Here are some pictures from the best part- the cake smashing!

Happy Mother's Day!

Nolan and Mike gave me a wonderful first Mother's Day gift- a new pretty pink laptop! So now I can get back to this blog! We've been pretty busy lately with our first family vacation to Destin, FL and then Nolan's 1st Birthday party.

Our trip to Destin could not have been better! We were a little worried how it would go with Nolan, but it was SO much fun. We stayed in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, which was beautiful, and I think we'll definitely go back. Nolan was so good in the car (6 hours each way), and really on the whole vacation. He had a blast getting to swim with his daddy in the pool every day. He wasn't a big fan of the beach, but took his naps out there (in a tent) while Mike and I enjoyed it. We can't wait to do it again!
