Fall is Here!

Yesterday we took Nolan to the pumpkin patch. He had so much fun with the pumpkins and the animals (goats, piglets, roosters, and turkey)! I wish we could have stayed all day, but Mike had to get home to do some work. Baby #2

Last week I went in for my NT scan for baby #2. This scan looks for Downs Syndrome as well as some other chromosomal disorders. The baby was rolling around like crazy, so it was hard to get good pictures, but they were able to get the measurements they needed. Everything looked good, and the doctor who did the ultrasound said he suspects it might be a boy, but no guarantees yet! Here are some pictures of baby #2, the first is from my appointment at 9 weeks and the next ones are from this past appointment (13 weeks).

16 Months Old

Nolan turned 16 months old on Tuesday. Every day now he becomes more and more of a little boy! On Wednesday I took him for his first "real" haircut (I've been trimming it up until this point). I took him to a special place just for kids, where they have cartoons on tv, the seats are cars and airplanes, and there are lots of other distractions. Unfortunately, there was no distracting this boy. As soon as I put him in the seat, he screamed and flailed his arms and legs the entire time. I couldn't even get a picture like I'd planned.

This week also marks 12 weeks or pregnancy for me, so Nolan will be a big brother in the spring!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a nice Labor Day weekend with another visit from Gram and Pap. Mike went to Austin for a couple days to meet up with some friends from Duke, and Nolan and I stayed here and got very spoiled by my parents! I turned 29 last Thursday, and Mike and Nolan got me a new camera lens that I played around with all weekend. Here are some pics...

15 Months Old

Nolan turned 15 months old yesterday! We went to the doctor on Friday, and here are his latest stats: 24 lbs. 4 oz. (50th %ile), 30.2 in. (25th %ile), and 48 cm head (75th %ile). His new favorite thing to do is have dance parties...I took a cute video, but everytime I try to edit it down, my computer freezes, so I'll try to get another one to put up here soon. He's also expanded on his baby signs, adding "milk" and "thank you". I really can't believe how quickly he's picking up on those, as well as showing so much understanding of what we're saying now. It seems that once he mastered walking, he's become very focused on communicating.
Last week Nolan's Gram came to visit from Cleveland. He loves playing with her, and it turned out to be extra helpful for me since I was feeling pretty sick towards the end of the week! We can't wait to see her (and Pap) again in a few weeks!

Grandma Creasy Visit

Nolan got to spend lots of time with his Grandma Creasy the last few days while she visited from Florida! Here are some pictures from our trip to the zoo. We also got to spend some time at the pool, go to the playground, and watch the turtles at the duck pond while she was here!
