Catching Up

So that all of my information is in one place, I'm listing Nolan's stats from his doctor's appointments so far.

Born: May 15, 2008 at 12:58 am, 7lbs. even and 20in long
1 Month: 8lbs. 14 oz. (25-50%), 20.5 in. (25%), 37.5 cm (25-50%) head
2 Month: 11lbs. 9 oz. (50-75%), 22.5 in. (25-50%), 40 cm (50%)

4 Month: 14 lbs. 10 oz. (50%), 24.5 in. (25-50%), 42 cm (50%)

6 Month: 16 lbs. 5 oz. (25-50%), 27 in. (50-75%), 44.5 cm (75-90%)
9 Month: 18lbs. 4 oz. (10-25%), 27.75 in. (25-50%), 46 cm (75%)

At Nolan's 1 month appointment, the doctor discovered a faint heart murmur. He had us go to a pediatric cardiologist, where Nolan was given an EKG and they did an ultrasound of his heart. Luckily, everything was good, and although he does have a murmur, it's nothing to worry about. They said he will probably outgrow it by the time he's a teenager.

Around 5 months, Nolan started sitting on his own and also started eating cereal. He began eating other baby foods at 6 months old, having his first (sweet potatoes) at Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Creasy's house.

Nolan's first teeth (the bottom two) popped up on Christmas Eve, when he was about 7.5 months old. Since then, he has gotten his top 2, and the ones next to those are starting to come in as well. Nolan didn't start sleeping through the night until he was just about 9 months old!

Currently, Nolan is not crawling, and doesn't seem too eager to do it. We call him "Rollin Nolan" because he rolls everywhere. He is very good at standing (as long as he's holding on to something), and loves standing to look out the windows. He is a great eater, practicing with new finger foods everyday. Right now, some of his favorite things to do are watch the dogs, swing at the playground, go to his Little Gym class, and have playdates with his friends.

As for Mike and I, well, Nolan is pretty much our lives! I love, love, love being a stay at home mom and am so thankful that Mike works so hard in order for me to be able to do it. Mike just finished up a long project in Charlotte and will start travelling to Newark, NJ next week. We are very much looking forward to our first family vacation in May!
