35 Weeks

It's hard to believe, but I'm 35 weeks pregnant today! Not much longer until our new baby boy arrives. Mike and I finally decided that we will name him Grant Daniel. As much as I'd like for him to make an early arrival, I'm really hoping he at least waits until Mike is in town! My sister-in-law, Emily, who has the same due date as me, inspired me to take some belly shots- since I haven't taken any this whole pregnancy!

In other big news this week, Nolan peed in his potty twice on Sunday! We couldn't believe it since we've really done nothing to potty train him other than put a little potty in the bathroom and read him a few stories about it! He's gone a couple days now without doing it again, so I'm wondering if maybe he just wants to do it for Mike? Regardless, that was definitely a step in the right direction and we're very proud of him!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yesterday was Valentine's Day and Nolan got to spend the day playing with his friend Audrey while her parents went on a date! They watched Nolan for us the night before, so Mike and I could have a date, too. Nolan dressed up in his new shirt from his Grandma Creasy, and Audrey looked adorable as always! Today Nolan is 21 months old!

It's Snowing!

When I heard we were expecting snow this weekend, I immediately started to get worried because my parents were supposed to be flying in for a visit. My intuition was right- their flight was canceled and our weekend plans were ruined. Needless to say, we're all pretty disappointed! However, Nolan was very excited to see the snow today! He had no problem putting his boots on (an issue when he was in Ohio) so he could go outside and play with his dad!

Another Milestone!

This morning I was putting the curtains up in Nolan's big boy room. He laid down on the floor and said "night, night" so I asked him if he wanted to take a nap in his big boy bed. He said, "ok" and I went with it! I had not planned on putting him in that room yet (it's not even totally finished), but he took both of his naps in there today. I hope this will be an easy transition at night too!

On another note, Nolan's cousin Garrett Dunbar was born today. I don't have any details yet, but congratulations Tim, Liz, and big sister Jenna!

Mother's Morning Out

I just dropped Nolan off for his first day of "school"! Ok, so it's not really school, it's actually a Mother's Morning Out program (a.k.a. daycare), but it feels like a really big deal! We decided to start sending him 2 days a week for about 3 hours a day to give him some time to get out of the house and play with his friends. This will also give me a chance to start getting things ready for the baby and go to my doctor's appointments. Nolan only cried for about 2 seconds when I left, so I hope things go well today!
