20 Months Old

It's hard to believe, but Nolan is 20 months old now! He seems to come up with new words every day! This past weekend, we passed a nasty stomach bug around our house, so Nolan was drinking quite a bit of Pedialyte. He doesn't normally get much juice, but he loves it, so he keeps asking for "goose, goose!". Some of his favorite things recently are PlayDoh and my Roomba. Every night before his bedtime, I tell him I'll run Roomba if he puts all his toys away, and you wouldn't believe how fast he puts those toys away! Here are a few new pictures, as well as another "buckethead" video with Roomba (especially for his Gram's 4th grade class)!

Snow!

Last, but not least, here's a video and a couple pictures of Nolan in the snow. He hated wearing his boots (he screams "NO, NO, NO!!!" when you even say the word), so this was the only time he actually got out in the snow the whole time he was in Ohio.

Holidays 2009

Whew! We had a very busy couple weeks over the holidays, but things are finally settled back down, giving me time to update this blog. The weekend after Mike's birthday, we celebrated our family Christmas here with just Mike, Nolan, and myself. Nolan must have been a good boy this year because he got LOTS of new toys! Mike got me a Roomba to help with all the dog hair and cheerios that I'm constantly vacuuming up, but Nolan seems to think that's his toy too!
The next day, we hit the road for our trip to Ohio. We decided to split the drive up this time, spending the night in Lexington. This way, we were able to stop in Cincinnati the next day to visit with our good friends, the Inman's. Their daughter, Alexa, will be one this month and she and Nolan were so cute together! Unfortunately, with all the catching up we were doing, nobody got a good picture of the two of them.
Our next stop was in Mansfield, OH to spend a few days with Mike's Dad's side of the family. It was the first time we've all been together in quite a while, and also our first time meeting baby Isaiah, who was born over the summer. Kate did a great job decorating the whole house for Christmas, and even made stockings for everyone (14 of us)! Santa (a.k.a. Grandpa Peresie) even came to visit the kids! Nolan had so much fun playing with his cousins, Mike spent lots of time playing Wii with his brothers, and I got to catch up with all the girls. We'll be adding 3 new babies to that family in the next few months, so I'm sure our next visit will be pretty crazy!
On Christmas morning, we left to go to my parents' house in Cleveland. Once again, Nolan got way too spoiled by his grandparents and Uncle Dan and Aunt Carly! We spent the day hanging out with our family, and that evening had our annual Sedney Family Christmas, which consists of lots of intense game playing, drinks, food, and often arguing between Dan (green team) and Mike (red team). I'm happy to say the green team was victorious again!
The following day we spent relaxing and getting ready for our trip to Cancun. Mike and I left Nolan with his grandparents for 4 nights so we could take our second "babymoon". We really wanted to get some time in together before this next baby arrives! The mini-vacation was perfect. Sun, sand, and nothing to worry about. We missed Nolan, but knew he was having fun with Gram and Pap, and of course they loved having him! We flew back into Cleveland on New Year's Eve and Nolan greeted us with big hugs! The next day we made our trek back to Atlanta, driving straight through this time.
Like I said, it was a busy couple weeks, but totally worth it! We loved getting to see most of our family, and miss everyone already! Mike is back to work, and Nolan and I are getting settled back into our routine. Now to get ready for this baby boy that will be here before we know it! Pictures of our trip to come....
